When Rex Macshiver brings his young and beautiful wife Daphne home to his island mansion Fort Avalon off the rugged coast of Cornwall, she quickly begins to realise that all is not as it should be. After many years absence the sudden re-appearance of Old Sea Dog Captain Pengelly quickly awakens ghosts from the past which threaten the very lives of the inhabitants of the remote island home of Fort Avalon.
Meet Mairzy the House Maid, her aptly named half -wit- half brother Dozy and the mysterious housekeeper Mrs Rigg. As this cunning and beautifully atmospheric mystery unfolds, the plot thickens with every twist and turn. Will you be quick enough to keep up and bring the murderer to justice?
