The PowderMills is a stunning privately owned 18th Century listed Country House Hotel nestling in 150 acres of beautiful parklands, woods and large lakes. Originally the site of a famous Gunpowder Works, it was reputed to have made the finest gunpowder in Europe during the Napoleonic Wars. It has now been skilfully converted into a fascinating Hotel. Set in beautiful tranquil grounds, guests can enjoy walks through woodland trails, absorbing the sights of the surrounding flora and fauna. A seven acre specimen fishing lake is available for guests.
